Journey So Far
I Started My Career As Event Organiser And Later On With Very Small Projects Started Doing Anchoring. It Was When I Was In Puc And My Parents Wanted Me To Strictly Concentrate On My Studies Rather Than Anchoring And Events. Soon I Cleared My Puc As Well As Managed My Side Hustle And Saved A Good Amount Of Money. My Mom And Me Went To Bangalore In Search Of A Very Good College For My Further Education Where I Was Late To Get The Admission Done And When We Return Back To Home I Suddenly Out Of A Blue Moon Spoke To My Mom Addressing My Wish To Become A Dj Artist. I Asked Her If She Can Get Me A Course Done And What Can I Expect From An Orthodox Family Parent, She Just Slapped Me In Front Of Everyone. Let Out My Aunt Said That Yes She Can Just Learn This As A Hobby. My Parents Did Not Support Me At That Time And Said Whatever She Wants To Do She Can Do On Her Own. We Are Not Going To Support Her Financially Because We Are Against It. I Was Pretty Sure That I Wanted To Take The Step And Fulfil My Passion. Till Then I Had Hosted A Good Number Of Shows, So I Had Some Savings And My Aunt Supported Me A Little, I Went On My Own, Still We Can Never Suppress A Mother’s Heart. My Mom Came With Me To Settle Me Up At The Place Where I Was Going To Learn Dj’ing Sister Last Me To Come Back With Her And Leave These All Things But I Was Quite Stubborn. I Did Not Leave At That Moment. I Was A Very New Artist. Hosting Small Shows. Here At This Moment, I Had To Be Very Careful As I Had A Lot Of Things To Pay For My Rent For Travel. Everything My Base Was My Hometown And I Was Learning Djing In Another City To Earn Money, I Had To Do Small Shoes But The Problem Was It Used To Happen In My Hometown As It Was Not Quite Famous In Other Cities. So I Used To Travel To My Hometown. Get The Shoot Done At Night Travel Back To The City Where I Used To Do My Djing Course And This Is How I Became Financially Stable One Day. I Met My Dad In Some Third City And He Asked Me What Are You Doing According To Him I Was In Bangalore With My Cousins Then I Said Him Dad, I’m Doing Djing And He Was Like Oh You Are Doing Fashion Designing I Said Know That It’s Djing I Mean To Music. It Was A Quite Shocking News For Him But Later On When My Parents Got To Know That Yes My Struggle Was Real And There Is Nothing Which Is Wrong In It. They Started Supporting Me. They Asked Me If I Need Any Financial Help From Them But Till Then I Was Quite Independent. I Just Needed That Emotional Support To Grow More And No Doubt They Turned Out To Be The Best.
What I Like Most About My Profession?
As A Dj Artist And Anchor, There Are So Many Things That I Love About My Profession. First And Foremost, I Love The Ability To Connect With People Through Music And Entertainment. There’s Something Truly Magical About Being Able To Create A Vibe And Get People Dancing Or Engaged In A Conversation. I Also Love The Freedom And Creativity That Comes With Being A Dj Artist And Anchor.
